Residential Aged Care Advisory Committee

We are seeking nominations from suitably qualified people as follows: •One representative with a financial management background, preferably working within the Residential Aged Care industry •One representative from the audit/risk/compliance industry, preferably working in compliance in the Aged Care domain •One representative with a legal background, preferably able to provide advice and comment on legal matters which commonly arise in the provision of Aged Care services •Two community representatives with a strong interest in Residential Aged Care •One representative with a family member residing in Yallambee Lodge, Cooma •One representative with a family member residing in Snowy River Hostel, Berridale •One representative from the Department of Health and Ageing

The primary role of the Committee is to: •Provide information and advice, which will contribute to Council’s strategic management of Residential Aged Care services •As required, provide advice and make recommendations concerning Council’s Residential Aged Care policies, procedures, and processes •Advise Council on practical considerations affecting operational, financial and other resourcing issues •Where requested by Council, comment on major Residential Aged Care projects •Take into account Council’s budgets and budget constraints when providing advice or recommendations

The Committee will meet quarterly with the meetings rotated between Berridale and Cooma. Nominees will be interviewed and all interviews to be held in Cooma.
