Two of Liverpool City Council’s childcare centres have received top honours from the NSW Government.
Council’s Early Education and Care Centres at Wattle Grove and Hinchinbrook have earned the rating of ‘Exceeding National Quality Standards’ following recent assessments by the NSW Department of Education.
Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said the ratings highlight Council’s commitment to early childhood development.
“It’s fantastic news to hear that two of Council’s Early Education and Care Centres have received such high praise of their quality service,” Mayor Waller said.
“A huge congratulations must go out to our Children’s Services staff who build genuine connections with all their children and are passionate about being part of their growth.
“From early education to tertiary studies, Council is committed to ensuring Liverpool is a one-stop shop for outstanding education.”
Karyn Worlledge, Acting Manager Children’s Services, said the result also provided a benchmark for quality childcare in the region.
“I am aware at a personal level the commitment our staff have to providing quality childcare services,” Ms Worlledge said. “Our staff love what they do and we’re incredibly proud to have our efforts in providing quality service for families in Liverpool recognised by the NSW Government.”
“We have a lot of families on our childcare waiting list, however we encourage families to learn more about the wide array of Children’s Services we provide in which their children can still take part.”
