Proudly funded by the NSW Government, the Church Street North Precinct will soon be receiving its upgrade thanks to a grant from the Stronger Country Communities Fund.

The plan builds on the previous upgrade completed at the end of 2017 with Council again looking to its community for feedback on the options proposed.

The Church Street North Precinct beautification works are in the final planning stages. The concepts concentrate on the dining precinct between Hyde Street and the Church Street laneway - specifically the seating arrangements for businesses and the general public.

An invitation has been extended to shop owners and retailers to meet with Council one on one to discuss the proposed seating options. A second combined conversation will also take place. The purpose for these sessions is to seek feedback on the draft Church Street North Precinct design options.

The aim of the final layout is to achieve a balance between commercial activity, mobility and general public access.

While it is important to consult directly with those businesses that front the works, the broader community is also invited to provide feedback via a short 2 question survey on Council’s Create website. Council encourages you to complete the survey which is open until Tuesday 31 July 2018.

Information regarding the project, including the concept designs, can be found on the Create website at https://create.bellingen.nsw.gov.au/bellingen-town-centre-beautification-project-church-street-north-precinct.
