Balonne Shire rate notices mailed out

Balonne Shire ratepayers will receive their notices in the mail over the coming days and are reminded to pay by 5pm 14 September 2018 to ensure they receive their discount.
Council’s Director Finance and Corporate Services Michelle Clarke said property owners would notice a difference in how the notices were delivered.
“Our team has collated water and rate notices into one envelope in an effort to streamline our processes and save on postage,” she said.
“We have also arranged for landholders with multiple properties to receive one envelope containing all of their rate and water notices.
“If landholders receive multiple envelopes it may be due to differing postal details, so we are asking ratepayers to contact Council and update these details to ensure future rate and water notices are assembled into one envelope.
“We hope by doing this it will make it easier for landholders to keep track of their rate notices and also make savings in the process.”
The discount period for rates ends at 5pm on 14 September 2018. Please ensure you allow at least two days prior to the discount closing date for BPay transactions to appear in Council’s bank statement. Payments can also be made at the Council administration office in Victoria Street, St George, or by telephone (07) 4620 8888.
