Guests at Liverpool City Council’s annual Charity Ball will be whisked away to the colourful streets of Havana, with Cuban-inspired entertainment set to delight people from all walks of life.

For a limited time, those booking tickets will go into a draw to win a one-night stay at the Charity Ball venue, the five-star William Inglis Hotel at Warwick Farm.

“The Liverpool Charity Ball is a wonderful opportunity for people from all walks of life to come together for a fabulous evening of entertainment in support of local organisation, Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections,” Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said.

“I encourage the community to come along to this year’s Charity Ball, which has taken inspiration from the sunshine, street life and Spanish-colonial heritage of the Cuban capital. It’s set to be a fantastic evening that everyone will enjoy.”

Hosted by Network Ten’s Sandra Sully, the festivities on 22 September will take over The William Inglis Hotel, where guests will enjoy a three-course seasonal menu prepared by The Newmarket Room chefs, fruity cocktails and Cuban rhythms and dancing.

There will also be a photo booth, raffles and giveaways galore, with prizes valued at more than $5,000.

Guests who purchase tickets before Sunday 9 September will go in the draw to win one night’s accommodation, including breakfast, for two at The William Inglis Hotel on the evening of the Charity Ball.

Tickets start at $175 per person, with proceeds going to Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections, which provides support and employment opportunities to disadvantaged locals.
