Get out your camera and get ready for Kingston’s annual OptiKA photography competition.
Kingston Mayor Steve Staikos said the annual competiton is a great way to celebrate Kingston through the eyes of talented artists. .
“This year, photographers and video-makers will present scenes from Kingston that respond to the theme Architecture, space and home,” Cr Staikos said. “The winning entries will share in some impressive prizes and I invite everyone to enter.”
Entries are now open for the highly coveted competition, and close 1 October at 5pm.
In celebration of its 10 year anniversary, the OptiKA photography competition (formerly known as LensMist) has introduced a new category for video entries.
Best Photograph, $5,000 sponsored by DFO Moorabbin
People's Choice Award, $1,000 sponsored by DFO Moorabbin
Portrait Award, $1,000 sponsored by the City of Kingston
Video Award, $500 sponsored by the City of Kingston
Entries will be exhibited at G1 and G2, Kingston Arts Centre in December during The Makers Festival and at DFO Moorabbin in May 2019.
