Residents in the Hillgrove district will have their chance to chat with their local councillors when the next Councillors’ Cuppa is held at Chalkers Cottage on Tuesday 21 August.

A culvert upgrade in the main street and waste disposal charges are expected to be two key topics to be raised by the community when councillors from Armidale Regional Council attend the cottage from 6pm to 7pm.

The Councillors’ Cuppa community information sessions were launched this year to give residents the chance to speak informally with their councillors.

“We’ll put on a free barbecue and boil the kettle for anyone who wants to come along and discuss Council-related issues that are important to them,” Armidale Regional Council Mayor Simon Murray said.

A full list of venues and dates of Councillors’ Cuppas has been announced for the rest of the year:

19 September 2018 - Ben Lomond 6.30pm 13 October – Boorolong Woolshed 11.45am 18 November – Ebor Public School 4pm

“Black Mountain, Wards Mistake, Guyra and Wongwibinda have also been earmarked for Councillors’ Cuppas in the new year,” Cr Murray said.

“The Cuppas are part of Council’s efforts to get out to communities throughout our region.”
