Kyabram Football Netball Club Netball Shelter

Council has approved the construction of a netball shelter for players and officials at the Kyabram Recreation Reserve netball court.

The shelter will replace the need for the club to set up temporary shelters at the reserve and provide permanent protection during the netball competition season.

The KFNC will fund the project at a cost of approximately $20,000, placing no capital burden on ratepayers, however council will be responsible for the annual cost of approximately $1,250 for maintenance and depreciation of the asset.

The new shelter will meet Netball Victoria facility guidelines and accommodate team benches, team shelters, official benches and official shelters all under a single structure.

Future occupancy of 51 Murray Esplanade, Echuca

Council has approved an Expression of Interest process to be undertaken for short term occupancy of approximately 12 months for the property located at 51 Murray Esplanade, Echuca.

The tenant of the property currently known as Wistaria, opted not to take up a written offer of council to extend their lease by 15 months, and provided council with notice to bring the current lease to an end.

Recognising the importance of filling a vacant building in one of Echuca’s prime tourism hotspots, a short term occupancy will enable council to fill the property while allowing time for a review of council owned properties within the port precinct and progressing the strategic direction of the area.
