The recently-completed $5.7M development has delivered an expanded arrivals hall and passenger lounge, an extra baggage carousel, new administration space and the revamped Uiver Café and Bar.

The city’s links to the dramatic 1934 Uiver landing have been celebrated in a striking refurbished mural in the café dining area.

AlburyCity provided $2.41M towards the redevelopment and the balance of $3.29M was provided by the NSW Government through Restart NSW funding.

AlburyCity Mayor Kevin Mack said the works had delivered a modern, spacious airport terminal that will help the region to grow by providing first class business and leisure travel services for many years to come.

“As the aerial gateway to Albury-Wodonga and the wider region, our airport is not only critical to the local economy, it’s also often a first impression of our community for visitors and we can all be proud to say that our new-look, state of the art airport terminal puts us in a class above when it comes to regional air travel,” he said.

“This fantastic new facility was developed with Council and NSW Government funding and we are very grateful to the government for helping to ensure this vision for the future became a reality.”
