To celebrate Australian Children’s Book Week (18 – 24 August), the Albury LibraryMuseum is hosting an exhibition by award-winning children’s book illustrator, Anne Spudvilas.
A Child's World: The Picture Book Art of Anne Spudvilas displays the original artwork from the 2015 picture book Where’s Jessie? by Janeen Brian and illustrated by Anne Spudvilas.
Young Jessie’s teddy bear can’t fit on the horse-drawn cart with the family. He finds himself on some unexpected adventures with cameleers and encounters desert animals, a flash flood and more in Anne’s beautifully depicted Australian outback.
Anne is visiting Albury this week and talking to school groups about her books at the LibraryMuseum and Lavington Library, as well as presenting an artist talk at the LibraryMuseum on Thursday 23 August, 5.30pm.
