Have your say on the proposed cycle park
City of Armadale 24 Aug 2018

The City of Armadale is seeking community feedback on the renewal of interest in the development of a BMX and cycle facility at John Dunn Memorial Park.

The City has recognised a growing trend in bike riding, skateboarding and scootering which contributes to vibrant and healthy communities.

The park aims to provide a space to connect, learn and develop and will include picnic, shelter, landscaped and seating areas to cater for youth, families and adults.

Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said the proposed cycle facility is part of an overarching master plan, and the City is seeking community consultation to determine the best use of the site.

"The City is inviting input from the people that live, work and visit the City of Armadale to have their say on the proposed plan.

"Your feedback is valuable and will also inform future community planning needs across the region."

An 'Open House' session will take place for those interested in providing input into the preliminary concept design on Thursday 6 September from 3 to 6pm at John Dunn Hall.

Stations will be set up with aerials of the site and images of different facility features and styles so attendees can vote on preferences, discuss issues and concerns with consultants, and see some preliminary results of the survey.

Attendees can drop it at any time during the session.
