We’re committed to delivering what’s most important to our community and we are proud to be recently awarded the National Innovation and Excellence Award in Aged Care Services for our ‘Creating an Age-Friendly Boroondara strategy.

This strategy has allowed us to implement vital programs and services for our older adult community, including:

Casserole Club Telling Tales Walk, Rest, Talk Adult outdoor fitness equipment Share, Care and Connect New over 55s section on the website – Add Life to Your Years Dementia Friendly Community Dementia Friendly Community Annual Age Friendly Forum

These initiatives have allowed us to deliver essential services to meet the diverse needs of those aged 55+ in Boroondara.

It’s not the first time that Boroondara has been recognised for excellence in aged care delivery. In 2012, the World Health Organisation named Boroondara an Age-Friendly city, one of only six Australian cities at the time to receive this recognition.
