Jindabyne residents are advised the Snowtunes Festival will be held at the Claypits on Friday 31 August, and Saturday 1 September. The two-day festival runs from 5pm to 12.30am each night.
Event organisers have indicated no traffic will be affected throughout the event with ‘No Stopping Signs’ in operation from 3pm to 1am, Friday 31 August through to Sunday 2 September. The signs will be placed either side of Barry Way between Kosciusko Road and Reedys Cutting Road.
The speed limit on Kosciusko Road, at the Barry Way roundabout, will be reduced to 40km/h between 4.30pm and 1am on Friday and Saturday.
Jindabyne residents attending Snowtunes are being encouraged by event organisers to leave their car at home and use the free shuttle bus. The Claypits carpark will be closed from Thursday 30 August to Monday 3 September.
Police and traffic control will be in attendance at all affected streets and intersections. Police and security officers will chaperon patrons from the festival to the town centre.
