Survey asks if we are loud and clear

Residents will begin receiving a letter from the City of Albany and Painted Dog Research this week inviting them to participate in a survey that will help provide feedback about the way it communicates and engages with the community.

Painted Dog is an independent market research agency that is helping the City find out how it can reach its community and listen to its residents better.

The survey builds on the community conversations staff and Councillors have had with people at shopping centres, library and leisure centre over the past month.

Executive Director Community Services Susan Kay said the survey was important to helping the City know more about its community and how they like to stay connected with the City.

“We’re inviting you to take a few minutes to share with us what communication and engagement methods we use that you think work well, and how we could better reach you,” she said.

“Good communication and engagement is a two-way street so we are seeking to know more about how our community likes to receive the information it wants from us, and that we are hearing our residents loud and clear.”

Information collated from the survey and community conversations will help inform a review of the City’s communication and engagement strategy.

Visit www.painteddogresearch.com/AlbanySurvey to complete the survey.

A public computer is available at Albany Public Library for anyone who does not have computer access.

The survey is being conducted within the guidelines of the Australian Marketing and Social Research Society and Federal Privacy Act, and responses remain strictly confidential and will not be used for any purpose apart from survey reporting.
