Community event

The major outdoor dining and pedestrian-friendly upgrade to Mosman Junction will be officially opened next month with a free community event for residents featuring entertainment, food provided by local businesses and a kids’ corner with cupcake-making and face painting.

Residents are encouraged to be the first to enjoy the purpose-built outdoor space by joining in the festivities at Mosman Junction (near the roundabout) on Thursday 27 September from 6pm to 8pm after the Mayor cuts the ribbon.

The works include the provision of two alfresco dining areas, improvements to the roundabout and the installation of new pedestrian crossings at Middle Head Road, Bradleys Head Road and Prince Albert Street to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility.

Lighting, seating and landscaping are also being enhanced, including new plantings in the roundabout garden and nearby Hampshire Park.

The final stage of the works is now underway, including the installation of lighting, furniture and landscaping, following the completion of the first four stages which involved the provision of two alfresco dining areas, improvements to the roundabout, and the installation of new pedestrian crossings at Middle Head Road , Bradleys Head Road and Prince Albert Street.

All roads adjoining the Mosman Junction intersection have now reopened.

The Mosman Junction Upgrade is creating a new pedestrian-friendly area at Mosman Junction, the section also known as Centenary Circle where Prince Albert Street, Middle Head Road and Bradleys Head Road converge. The project will bring outdoor dining spaces and improved pedestrian access to the area to create a safe, functional and vibrant hub.
