All 'go' for new library service

Fairfield City residents can now watch TV series and movies anytime, anywhere, on any device, even without internet - and for free, with a GoChip Beam pack from Fairfield City Libraries.

Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said the GoChip Beam was available to borrow from any of Council’s Library branches.

“This is a great way to watch movies and TV for free while on holidays, or to keep the children entertained on a long car ride,” Mayor Carbone said.

GoChip Beam is a wireless hotspot for watching TV and movies anytime, anywhere, on any device, even without internet. Each GoChip Beam holds five movies or one season of a television show and up to eight devices can connect simultaneously.

“If you’re not a member of our libraries, now is great time to join to take advantage of free movies on the go, and all the other services on offer,” Mayor Carbone said.

Library membership is free and gives members access to borrow or download from thousands of books, audiobooks and magazines. You can also use the computers and wi-fi in the library or attend some of the hundreds of workshops and events each year.
