Young people who have made outstanding contributions in fields such as art, sport and business were recognised on Tuesday night at Kyneton Town Hall at the 2018 Macedon Ranges Youth Awards.
The annual event recognises and celebrates the extraordinary and diverse achievements of young people aged 12–25 who go to school, work or live in the Macedon Ranges Shire.
Mayor, Cr Jennifer Anderson said the event acknowledges the many ways young people participate in and contribute to our local community.
“Every year I’m amazed by how many talented and inspiring young people we have in our community,” Cr Anderson said.
“Each nominee deserves to be recognised. They are creating positive changes in our local communities, and I’d like to acknowledge and thank each of them for their contributions and achievements.
“I would also like to thank all of the family, friends, volunteers and staff who support our young people in their endeavours to make the Macedon Ranges such a beautiful and inclusive place.”
