If you want to go to the Liverpool City Council Charity Ball, get in quick or miss out. That‘s the message from Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller.

“Time is running out for people to purchase tickets to the 2018 Liverpool City Council Charity Ball,” Mayor Waller said. “I encourage those interested in coming along to our Charity Ball to buy their tickets before 9 September and they will go in the draw to win a one night stay for two at The William Inglis Hotel the evening of the Ball.

“It will be a fantastic evening with entertainment inspired by the warmth of sunny Havana. Most importantly, it will allow us to raise funds for Warwick Farm-based organisation, Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections, which provides vital support to those in need.”

Pat Hall, Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections Manager, said she was honoured Council would raise funds for the organisation at the 2018 Charity Ball.

“I am very pleased that Liverpool City Council has recognised the importance of our services for disadvantaged people in our community, many of which aim to break the cycle of intergenerational unemployment,” Ms Hall said.

“Funds raised at the Charity Ball will help us buy a new vehicle for transporting people to workshops and excursions.

“We are delighted and humbled that Council has chosen to help our services and we really hope the community sees the value in going to the Charity Ball to provide their support.”

Hosted by Network Ten’s Sandra Sully, the Havana-inspired Charity Ball will take over The William Inglis Hotel on 22 September.

Guests will enjoy a three-course seasonal menu prepared by The Newmarket Room chefs, fruity cocktails and Cuban rhythms and dancing. There will also be a photo booth, raffles and giveaways, with prizes valued at more than $5000.

Tickets start at $175 per person and can be purchased through Council’s website: www.liverpool.nsw.gov.au/charityball
