Smarter Parking Plan Community Workshop

The Smarter Parking Plan Community Workshop will be held on Saturday 1 September between 10am and 2pm.
It will be held at Craig’s Royal Hotel, Lydiard Street South, Ballarat.
Facilitated by Lynda Jones from the noagroup, the workshop will feature roundtable discussions focused on finding solutions to Ballarat’s car parking congestion issues.
Community feedback so far has included:
* A proposal to extend paid parking in zone 1 to 7pm would disadvantage families
* Maximum flexibility in the inner CBD is a good idea
* Zone 3 is too large and could be better dealt with
* Better infrastructure is required to support parking
* Public transport is inadequate and more people would use it if it is improved
About 40 people have registered to attend.
