To mark National Wattle Day, Bayside Community Nursery is hosting a Gala celebration on Saturday 1 September, 9am – 2pm. Come along and celebrate our national floral emblem and discover how indigenous plants can enhance your garden.
Each year, the nursery grows and supplies around 100,000 indigenous plants, grasses and trees for planting in our parks, inland and coastal bushland reserves.
Local species thrive under our local conditions and planting indigenous plants in your garden provides habitat and food to attract local birds, insects and animals.
Established by a passionate group of volunteers, the nursery has nurtured the indigenous plants of Bayside since 1978 and is believed to be one of the first of its kind in the world.
Join us at our Community Gala Day, grab a sausage and learn from our experts on the best indigenous plants for your garden.
