Media Release - Hillston Medical Practice

Carrathool Shire Council 22 Aug 2018

Positive discussions are currently being held, with a prospective operator for the Hillston Medical Practice who would also provide VMO support to Hillston Hospital.

In commenting on these discussions Mayor Peter Laird said that he was optimistic that a final decision on providing new medical support to the community should be known shortly. Council will provide a further update once the negotiations have been finalised.

These negotiations have been greatly assisted by Murrumbidgee Local Health District, Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network and the Rural Doctors Network.

Council remains committed to achieving a positive outcome
