Strategic rowing partnership confirmed

The City of Ballarat and Rowing Victoria will sign a strategic partnership until 2027, to promote regattas at Lake Wendouree and to enhance Ballarat’s reputation as a home of major sporting events. 

The partnership, valued at $420,000 and agreed upon at last night’s ordinary meeting of Council, will see the Victorian State Rowing Championships held at Lake Wendouree every alternate year through to 2027. 

State championships held in Ballarat in March this year brought an estimated $323,000 into the city through 3,515 rowers.
