The Victorian State Ballet will be pirouetting its way to Karralyka next month in a performance of the world famous Le Corsaire.
This full length classical ballet will take audiences on a wonderful adventure, featuring pirates, beautiful maidens, treasures and dramatic rescues, culminating in an unexpected shipwreck.
The Victorian State Ballet’s Le Corsaire (‘The Pirate’s Story’) features a top cast of leading classical ballet artists, from across Australia and abroad, in an exotic fable of a dashing pirate’s love for a beautiful maiden.
Based on the 1814 poem The Corsair by Lord Byron and choreographed by Michelle Sierra, this production promises everything from action and adventure, comedy and romance.
Don’t miss seeing exhilarating solos and pas de deuxs from the stunning leading couple, the world-famous Le Corsaire Pas de Trois by Conrad, Medora and Ali, the beautiful flower garden of ballerinas in gorgeous tutus, the very moving rescue of Medora by Conrad, and the ultimate happily-ever-after final scene.
