Interested in a career in local government or just keen to get some insight to how local government operates?
Council is offering residents a chance to spend a ‘Day In Our Shoes’ as part of Local Government Week 2018.
On Tuesday 7 August, interested people can spend a day on the job with a Council officer, in the role of their choice.
Available positions include library and visitors centre staff, health and building officers, rangers, parks and gardens, IT, engineering, customer service, communications and even a day with the Mayor.
Visit the Your Say Armidale website, at yoursay.armidale.nsw.gov.au/day-in-our-shoes, for a full list of roles available to experience.
Participating community members can opt to spend the day with one staff member (9.30am to 3pm) or spend the morning in one section and the afternoon with another.
Positions are limited to one community per staff member, so act quickly to grab a spot.
To book a spot, visit yoursay.armidale.nsw.gov.au/day-in-our-shoes or contact Council on 1300 136833
