Members sought for Active Women and Girls’ Community Reference Group

The City of Ballarat's Sport and Active Living team is currently seeking to engage four community members to volunteer their time to serve on a community-based reference group.

Expressions of Interest for the Active Women and Girls’ Community Reference Group is now open, closing on Friday 24 August 2018.

Community members who are passionate, have an interest in female sport and active recreation and are motivated to help pave the way for women and girls’ involvement in this area, are being encouraged to apply.

This reference group will be overseen by a Council Officer and will comprise of a Chair, four Strategy Ambassadors and four community members.

As a Reference Group Member, participants will help provide suggestions around the delivery of the key actions and pillars in the strategy.

The Reference Group’s role will be to:

Provide suggestions and comment on the delivery of the four strategy pillars being; Participation, Infrastructure, Media Action, and Culture and Environment Provide comments on the ways specific actions are delivered within the set time frames in the strategy Support the work of the City of Ballarat in fostering partnerships with other local sport and health care providers, sport and recreation groups, clubs and associations
