This is the third year, Central Northern Regional Library network has conducted One Book, One Region and this year’s book is Scrublands by Chris Hammer.
400 copies of Scrublands have arrived at Tamworth Library this week ready to be distributed amongst all CNRL branches, as well as other locations throughout the region.
Ms Amanda Burke, Tamworth Library said: “One hundred of the books will be put onto the library catalogue and will be able to be borrowed – the rest will be left at locations throughout regional towns for the general public to take, read, post on their social media with hashtag one book one region and pass on.”
Book drop locations will include cafes, waiting rooms, local book-clubs and other Council venues. There will also be a One Book One Region ‘in conversation’ author event with Chris Hammer at Tamworth Library on the 19th September; The Crossing Theatre, Narrabri on the 20th September; and Uralla Library on 21st September where he will discuss Scrublands and take questions from the audience.
