The rock star of Australian mathematics is coming to the Gold Coast.
Eddie Woo is the 2018 Australian Local Hero, known for his quirky style of teaching math to students across the country. His lectures regularly attract thousands of YouTube followers.
He will be joined by NASA scientists at the Science Spectacular on the Gold Coast next week – from 11 to 19 August.
City Libraries is hosting the spectacular, paying tribute to all things science and technology in support of National Science Week.
Acting Mayor Donna Gates said this year’s program featured highly-regarded speakers as well as hands-on workshops.
“As well as our NASA guests, we have theatre stage shows and interactive workshops featuring holograms, virtual reality and science experiments,” said Acting Mayor Gates.
“There will be lots of opportunities to get up close and hands on with science, so get along to your local library and enjoy the free events on offer.”
