The fun of the annual Blacktown City Family SportsFest is just around the corner!
The 2018 Blacktown City Family SportsFest will be held on Saturday 25 August from 12pm to 4pm at Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope (Sentry Drive, Stanhope Gardens).
Mayor of Blacktown City Councillor Stephen Bali said SportsFest is set to be bigger and better this year with loads of activities for the whole family to enjoy.
“There will be loads of things to see and do including sports clinics, interactive sporting displays, appearances from sporting personalities, inflatables, prizes and lots more. The best part of SportsFest is that everything is FREE!” said Mayor Bali.
“Blacktown is a sporting city and this event is the perfect opportunity to showcase the best of sport in Blacktown. The day will offer a range of ‘come and try’ displays and also be an opportunity to find out about all the great programs and services that are available at Council’s Leisure & Aquatic Centres.”
Entry to the whole of Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope will be free from 12pm, allowing families to enjoy all that SportsFest has to offer on the day, while also checking out the range of facilities on offer at the Centre.
This year’s SportsFest will include interactive displays from a variety of sports including Aussie Rules, Baseball, Basketball, Cricket, Dancing, Dodge Ball, Football (Soccer), Grid Iron (American Football), Hockey, Rugby League, Roller Derby, Skating, Softball, Swimming and Tennis.
There will be plenty on offer to guarantee you have a ‘sportacular’ day at the 2018 Blacktown City ‘Family SportsFest’!
