The Broken Hill City Council invites Expressions of Interest from people interested in being volunteer members of the Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan (PAMP) Reference Group. This group is a consultative forum to provide strategic advice on the development of the PAMP to the administration and Council.
A PAMP is a comprehensive document containing pedestrian policies and programs for building pedestrian facilities. PAMPs aim to co-ordinate investment in safe, convenient and connected pedestrian routes. A PAMP provides a framework for developing pedestrian routes or areas identified by the community as important for enhanced, sustainable safety, convenience and mobility.
Up to Nine (9) people over 18 years of age may join the PAMP Reference Group. These people will have personal or professional experience of disability or mobility restrictions, a commitment to improving equity of access in Broken Hill and the ability to demonstrate a strong understanding or interest people living with a disability. Business owners, tourism operators, and parents and carers of people with disability or mobility issues are welcome to apply.
Recommendations will be made to Council from the EOI process and members will be appointed following a resolution of Council.
This group will meet two times per year. Meeting dates, times and venue will be advised.
