Council meeting arrangements  

An Extraordinary Meeting of Council will be held on Tuesday 11 September 2018, commencing at 6.30pm in the Council Chambers. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct the election of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for the 2018-2020 term.

The Ordinary Meeting of Council will commence at 7.00pm. Both meetings are open to the public.

Have your say Planning proposal – 2 Kent St, Minto

Council recently resolved to publicly exhibit a planning proposal and an associated heritage study for the old St James Anglican Church, located at 2 Kent St, Minto (Lot 12 DP 712566).

The primary objective of the planning proposal is to include the old St James Anglican Church as an item of local heritage under Schedule 5 of the Campbelltown Local Environmental Plan 2015.

In relation to this planning proposal, Council is authorised to exercise the functions of the Greater Sydney Commission and make the plan.

The planning proposal and supporting documentation will be on public exhibition and available to view online at campbelltown.nsw.gov.au/haveyoursay, from Wednesday 5 September until Friday 21 September 2018 at the ground floor of Council’s Civic Centre during Council’s ordinary office hours; at Eagle Vale Library, Cnr Feldspar Rd and Emerald Dr, Eagle Vale; and Greg Percival Library, Cnr Oxford and Cumberland Rds, Ingleburn.

Draft Bow Bowing Bunbury Curran Creek Strategic Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan

Council has prepared the Draft Bow Bowing Bunbury Curran Creek Strategic Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan (FRMSP) and is seeking feedback from the community. 

The FRMSP identifies the areas in Campbelltown most at risk of flooding and potential ways to minimise this risk. 

The draft document is available to view online at campbelltown.nsw.gov.au/haveyoursay, at the ground floor of Council’s Civic Centre during Council’s ordinary office hours; HJ Daley Library, Hurley St, Campbelltown; Eaglevale Library, Cnr Feldspar Rd and Emerald Dr, Eagle Vale; Greg Percival Library, Cnr Oxford and Cumberland Rds, Ingleburn; and Glenquarie Branch Library, Brooks St, Macquarie Fields until Monday 1 October 2018. 

Community information sessions will be held on Thursday 20 September from 11am to 1pm and from 5pm to 7pm at Campbelltown Civic Hall, 91 Queen St, Campbelltown. Please come along and discuss the FRMSP with Council officers.

Expressions of interest EOI18/02 Construction of the Campbelltown Sports and Health Centre of Excellence

Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced organisations for the construction of the Campbelltown Sports and Health Centre of Excellence. Organisations must meet the following mandatory criteria to be eligible to submit an EOI:

minimum of three projects with an out turn cost in excess of $10M completed in the last three years or currently in progress accreditation with the WH&S Accreditation Scheme compliance with the Workplace Gender Equality Act (2012)

Development proposals Lot 1 Campbelltown Rd, Glenfield

Council has received a development application from Mr Salvatore Prestia for the alterations and additions to an existing service station at Lot 1 DP 122424, Lot 1 Campbelltown Rd, Glenfield.

Campbelltown City Council is the consent authority for this development application.

The application involves the installation of additional bowsers; therefore, the application is being assessed under and exhibited pursuant to the provisions of State Environmental Planning Policy 33 – Hazardous and Offensive Development. All applications affected by this Policy are required to be publicly exhibited.

Council has received a development application from Visionstream for the construction of a telecommunications tower at Lot 3 DP 785548, Walsa, 29 Pheasants Rd, Wedderburn. 

Campbelltown City Council is the consent authority for this development application. 

The application and accompanying Statement of Environmental Effects are on exhibition and available for review at the ground floor of Council’s Civic Centre during Council’s ordinary office hours; and at HJ Daley Library, Hurley St, Campbelltown.

Council has received a development application from Turner & Townsend Thinc for the construction and operation of the Campbelltown Sports and Health Centre of Excellence including a two storey building, 120 onsite parking spaces, new driveways and landscaping works at Pt Lot 4099 DP 1206283, Lot 4 DP 247902, Western Sydney University Campbelltown Campus, 183 Narellan Rd, Campbelltown.

Sydney Western City Planning Panel is the determination authority for this development application.

The proposal is identified as Nominated Integrated Development as it requires a controlled activity approval from the Office of Water under the Water Management Act 2000.

The application and accompanying Statement of Environmental Effects are on exhibition and available for review at the ground floor of Council’s Civic Centre during Council’s ordinary office hours; at HJ Daley Library, Hurley St, Campbelltown , Greg Percival Library, Cnr Oxford Rd and Cumberland Rd, Ingleburn and Eaglevale Library, Cnr Feldspar Rd and Emerald Dr, Eagle Vale.
