Do you have a community safety-related project or idea that could benefit from a small grant? 

Ballarat community groups and not-for-profit organisations are invited to apply for one of four $500 sponsorship grants to help plan, promote, conduct and report on community-based activities that respond to key community safety areas. 

The key community safety areas are: 

Preventing violence against women  Alcohol and other drug-related harm  Central Business District public safety  Neighbourhood safety and wellbeing, and  Improved perceptions of safety 

In addition to the sponsorship grant, the City of Ballarat will provide promotional opportunities on its website and social media as well as its customer service on-hold message, digital signage and a media release. 

Applications close on Friday 14 September, 2018. 

The City of Ballarat’s Community Safety Advisory Committee will determine the successful applicants. 

The grants are being offered by the City of Ballarat together with the State Government’s Community Safety Network. 

The grants are part of Community Safety Month 2018, held every October – reminding us that we all have a role to play in making our communities safer. 

The City of Ballarat is committed to working with the community to create safe neighbourhoods, places and spaces, where people feel safe and empowered to lead fulfilling lives.
