Eurobodalla residents can rid their homes of unwanted chemicals for free this month at Eurobodalla Council’s annual Household Chemical Cleanout.
The chemical cleanout enables residents to take unwanted chemicals to designated drop-off points in Batemans Bay, Moruya and Narooma on the weekend of September 15 and 16.
You can take paints, fungicides, oxidisers, weed killers, household cleaners, fuel, oils, syringes, poisons, acids and alkalis, pool chemicals, gas cylinders, medicines, fertilisers and smoke detectors to the collection venues closest to you. Asbestos, explosives, clinical waste and radioactive materials will not, however, be accepted.
More information about what will and won’t be accepted at the Household Chemical Cleanout is in the Household Waste and Recycling Guide delivered to homes earlier this year and on our Waste and Recycling page.
The program is partially funded by the NSW Environment Protection Authority. For more information, please phone Eurobodalla Shire Council’s waste services on 4474 1024.
