Smile, it's tech time Wednesday 05 September

The East Gippsland Shire Council photo booth was a big hit at the Technology Expo held at the Bairnsdale Library on Tuesday, September 4.

Library staff hosted the free event to coincide with E-smart Week and had information available about technology, cyber safety and what technology services are offered in East Gippsland. Library staff also provided information on online resources to the steady stream of library users.

The expo included a popular e-smart Storytime for children aged 2–5, an online gaming afternoon for children aged 7–13 and a photo selfie booth, which was particularly popular with Storytime and after-school children.

Items such as notepads, pens, lanyards, balloons, earphones and USB drives were popular, while there was information booklets from organisations such as Stay Smart Online, Scamwatch, Office of the eSafety Commissioner, Be Connected as well as local organisations such as the Bairnsdale Computer Club and Lakes Entrance Neighbourhood House.
