Temporary road closure extension - Marshall Road

Members of the public are invited to comment on the proposed extension to the current temporary road closure of:

The current temporary road closure is enabling the construction of a new intersection connecting Marshall Road and Dayton Boulevard to New Lord Street. The construction works form part of the New Lord Street project.

An extension to the temporary road closure ordered by Council at the Ordinary Council Meeting of April 11, 2018 has been requested due to record rainfall events throughout the month of August. These unforeseen adverse weather conditions have created additional dewatering and site preparation requirements, delaying the project. The area of closure is currently unsafe to reopen to vehicles. 

An extension to the temporary closure has been requested for a period of nine weeks to November 18, 2018.

Anyone wishing to comment on the proposal may do so by lodging a written submission to the City of Swan, PO Box 196 Midland 6936, or by emailing, [email protected] by 5pm Thursday, September 13, 2018.
