Have your say - Permanent road closure, Hennessy Rd, Whiteman

Published on 12 September 2018

Members of the public are invited to comment on the proposed permanent road closure:

The portion of Hennessy Road, Whiteman (formerly Beechboro Road Nth), located north of Jules Steiner Memorial Drive to the intersection of the (newly constructed) Tonkin Highway.

The road closure is requested as part of the Northlink WA Central Section Project, which will extend Tonkin Highway from Reid Highway to Ellenbrook. These works will provide improved access to surrounding suburbs, increased safety and better traffic flow.

The closure of the portion of Hennessy Road is requested from Friday November 9, 2018, following the opening of the newly constructed Tonkin Highway between Hepburn Avenue and the intersection with Hennessy Road.

Details of the proposal showing the portion of Hennessy Road affected, along with traffic flow information, are set out on this plan(PDF, 750KB). Following the road closure, access to properties along Hennessy Road between Hepburn Avenue and Jules Steiner Memorial Drive will be available from the Tonkin Highway/Hepburn Avenue/Beechboro Road North intersection only.
