Investment continues to soar in Forrestdale Business Park
City of Armadale 12 Sep 2018

Forrestdale Business Park continues to grow as a significant industrial hub in one of WA's fastest growing regions.

The business park has attracted investment from major corporations and has already secured 118 businesses, with a number of new businesses opening in the last six months ranging from cafes to motor vehicle repairs stores and freight management.

With the City of Armadale's population growth over four times the state's growth and double the nation's, Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said it was an exciting time to be part of the region.

“There is already more than $304.8 million in development investment at Forrestdale Business Park which is proof of increased interest and recognition of the Armadale district as a growing employment region.

“The City will continue to focus on investment attraction and job creation as one of its strategic economic development priorities,” he said.

At full build-out, Forrestdale Business Park is expected to create jobs for up to 15,000 people with over 1,300 people already employed at the Park in industries including manufacturing, wholesale trade and construction.

Another major drawcard is Forrestdale Business Park's proximity to major infrastructure including airports, ports and main transport routes, including the Tonkin Highway and Armadale Road.

Precinct 95 is an exciting 18 hectare commercial and business land release within the existing Forrestdale Business Park. Upon completion in the next five to seven years, it is estimated to inject $200 million into the business precinct.

Major developments in the area which are set to attract more investment into Forrestdale Business Park include the Armadale Road upgrade and construction of the Armadale Road Bridge – a $382 million project which will improve links between major business and commercial hubs across the Southern Enterprise Arc.
