Giant Car Boot Sale at Spring into Corrimal

Wollongong City Council’s Giant Car Boot Sale will be held as part of Spring into Corrimal on Sunday 9 September 2018.

There’ll be more than 50 cars with their boots chock full of great preloved treasures, so it’s sure to be a full and interesting event.

The Giant Car Boot sale is an opportunity to uncover a gem, find a beautiful pre-loved item or score a bargain. By diverting unwanted and pre-loved household goods from Council’s landfill at Whytes Gully, we’re encouraging residents to Reuse, Repair and Recycle.

Council’s Environment and Conservation Services Manager Vanni De Luca said: “The Giant Car Boot sale is a fun community event where you can pick up a bargain and enjoy a coffee from the RSL. Past events have seen musical instruments, tools, books, baby goods, clothing and bicycles.

“Recent Car Boots Sales have diverted over 8,458 litres from landfill, which is roughly 35 large wheelie bins. Come along for a great morning and do your bit to reduce waste by buying something preloved.”

Where: Corrimal RSL Car Park, Corrimal

When: Sunday, 9 September 2018 between 8am – 12pm

The Car Boot Sale is part of the Spring into Corrimal event. The RSL will be selling coffee from 8am.
