We’re holding a Chemical Cleanout Day this Sunday to provide an opportunity for Wollongong residents to dispose of household chemicals safely.
The event will be held at Fred Finch Park Sporting Complex car park on Sunday 9 September 2018 from 9am – 3.30pm. Access the Chemical Cleanout via Bedford Road.
Be sure to transport your chemical materials carefully so they don’t leak or break. To guarantee a safe and smooth event, no queuing is allowed before 8.30am and you’re required to remain in your vehicle at the drop off site.
We can accept up to 20 kilograms or 20 litres of items such as:
Solvents and household cleaners Floor care products Fluorescent globes and tubes Car batteries Motor oils, fuels and fluids Paint and paint related products Pesticides and herbicides Poisons Gas bottles Fire extinguishers Pool chemicalsIf you can’t make the Chemical Cleanout Day, don’t worry! You can drop off your chemical waste at our new Community Recycling Centre, located at the Wollongong Waste and Resource Recovery Park, year round.
