An ambitious $64 million project to develop transformational infrastructure including sporting, cultural and commercial use tourism accommodation and culinary training facilities across the Barossa region, is at the heart of Council’s Regional Growth Fund Expression of Interest submission.
Council, in partnership with Château Tanunda, has submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Regional Growth Fund for its Barossa Global Food and Wine Project, which is a component of The Big Project.
The joint proposal for the "Barossa Global Wine & Food Project" has two elements, both identified as essential transformational infrastructure that will grow industry, jobs and region.
This will be achieved through public use infrastructure development of sporting and cultural facilities and events; the second through commercial use infrastructure of global standard wine and tourism accommodation, training and job readiness facilities.
