It’s not every day that a town gets to re-invent itself. Bremer Bay has been given an opportunity of a lifetime, a new town centre which will cater for the growth of the town well into the future.
Council established there was a need for a new Town Centre in 1985 as a way of supporting economic development and planning for a predicted population increase. In 2013, the Shire partnered with Landcorp to obtain funding to complete necessary extensions to the local infrastructure. The project became achievable in 2016 with generous assistance allocated through the State Government’s Royalties for Region’s Growing Our South Initiative and Lotterywest.
