Nominations open for Citizen of the Year Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2019 Australia Day WA Citizen of the Year Awards.
The awards recognise individuals and organisations who provide an outstanding contribution towards the advancement and wellbeing of our community.
There are four award categories with a winner chosen for each. The categories are Community Citizen of the Year, Community Citizen of the Year (Youth), Community Citizen of the Year (Senior) and Active Citizenship, which recognises a group or event.
All finalists and winners are also eligible to be submitted to Australia Day WA for consideration in the Australian of the Year Awards the following year.
Nominations can be completed online at www.citizenshipawards.com.au/nominate/, or hard copy nomination forms are available from the City of Albany on North Road.
Nominations close Wednesday, October 31 with winners announced at the City of Albany’s Australia Day Celebrations on January 26 next year.
