Council’s Development Services team are making the process of applying for a planning permit easier for our community. Within a year the department has nearly halved the average time taken to decide planning applications in Bayside.
CEO of Bayside City Council Mick Cummins said it is a great example of having a plan and steadily working towards a goal to improve the customer experience.
“We are determined to better understand how customers experience our planning and building services, so that we can better cater to changing customer needs and preferences.
“Over the year, the team worked hard on improving their website content with online application forms and instructional videos, mapping their processes for consistency, as well as training.
“I’m pleased to see that these online resources have produced good results for our residents, including shortening the application process time and allowing us to make decisions quicker,” said Mr Cummins.
