Fairfield City’s splashtacular waterpark Aquatopia will be bigger and better this year with two new attractions - 20-metre tall racing slides and Fishpipe – currently under construction.
Aquatopia reopens to the crowds on 22 September. The Fishpipe will make its long-awaited debut, and construction has already begun on the new slide tower and is expected to open in time for summer.
Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said Aquatopia is set for its biggest season yet.
“Aquatopia has been a remarkable success, providing affordable family fun for more than 60,000 visitors last season,” Mayor Carbone said.
The new slide tower will feature a 3-Lane Racing Ride - perfect for challenging your friends, a high-speed free-fall slide, and the Rocket Drop Slide - which will drop brave riders via a trap door to a fast loop through a transparent tube that will circle the free-fall slide on its way down.
The Fishpipe will roll and wash riders – with a small amount of water – around inside a huge ball. It will be a fun and active way to have fun with friends while staying cool.
“I encourage mums, dads and children to all have a go on the racing slides, and get inside the Fishpipe, if you dare!
“With backyards getting smaller, Aquatopia is an investment in the local community that gives Fairfield City families an opportunity to get out and about, have fun, get active and be healthy.”
Visitors can now buy tickets online. This means families can avoid queues and ensure entry on their chosen day.
Aquatopia will be open every weekend and every day of the school holidays throughout the warmer months.
