The city’s tourism offering has had an upgrade – with first-class glamping now on offer at Jacobs Well.

Gold Coast Tourist Parks have unveiled two new safari tents at the Jacobs Well Tourist Park, providing our 13.1 million annual visitors with a new accommodation option.

The glamping experience includes a queen bed and set of bunks, kitchenette with bar fridge, microwave, large screen TV and Blu-Ray player as well as a front deck with portable gas BBQ.

One of the safari tents is wheelchair accessible, ensuring everyone can enjoy a tourist park experience.

Deputy Mayor Donna Gates said the opening of the new safari tents would provide more accommodation options in the Jacobs Well area.

“Offering a diverse range of accommodation will encourage visitors to experience the area and help support local business,” said Deputy Mayor Gates.

“Jacobs Well is a gateway to southern Moreton Bay region and a haven for boaties and fishermen.

“With a myriad of islands to explore and great fishing year round, it’s not hard to see why Jacobs Well is a hidden gem for holiday makers.”

Cheaper than existing villas, the safari tents are priced from $88 per night.

Popularity of these safari tents will inform whether more safari tents are installed at other seven City of Gold Coast tourist parks.

For the past two consecutive years, all eight of the City’s tourist parks have been awarded the Trip Advisor 2018 Certificate of Excellence Award.
