Construction and sealing of the entrance road, car park and associated access roads at the IYU Recreation Reserve is almost complete.
Works were slightly delayed due to poor weather in winter, but got back on track quickly. The area was stabilised to enable asphalting of the road and car park to complete the work, including footpaths and drainage.
The IYU Recreation Reserve in Henry Road, Pakenham is Cardinia Shire’s premier soccer facility and one of the best soccer venues in Melbourne’s south-east. Previous Council works included construction of a full-sized senior soccer field, a pavilion, and all-weather synthetic soccer pitch plus a playground and basketball half-court.
As part of Council’s commitment to providing excellent recreation facilities, the upgrades to the road and car park will provide a safer and more convenient facility for residents and visitors to the reserve.
