The second stage of a project to promote cultural diversity in East Gippsland is now on display in Bairnsdale.
Called ‘All of Us’, the project was funded by East Gippsland Shire Council and Gippsland Multicultural Strategic Plan, auspiced by Latrobe Community Health Service.
It involves photographic portraits of recent migrants who have settled in East Gippsland and aims to highlight what they enjoy about their new home.
Stage one was shown at the Bairnsdale Library as part of Cultural Diversity Week, with the new portraits on show in Bairnsdale’s Main Street Gardens.
Visitors to the gardens will see eight portraits and quotes from the participants. The quotes are relatable for the whole community and reflect the individuals as part of the East Gippsland community.
