Cessnock Library is offering residents a unique insight into their local history collection by offering three free basement tours on Tuesday 11 September 2018.
The one hour tours will take place in three different time slots including 10.30 to 11.30am; 2.30 to 3.30pm; and 4.30 to 5.30pm.
Over the years, Cessnock Library has received some very generous donations to its history collection and this a chance to view these and learn about their significance to our region.
Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent said this is a wonderful opportunity to share our local history collection with the community and encourages interested locals to come along.
“Our Local Studies Librarian, Kimberly and other library staff do a wonderful job of preserving our precious local records and objects and these tours are a great opportunity to showcase the collection,” said Cr Pynsent.
Each tour is free and bookings are essential. Reserve your spot today by calling the Cessnock Library team on 4993 4399 or by asking at the front desk.
