Claremont got a taste of Cable Beach this week as Calamunnda Camel Farm's Wasim the camel roved down Bayview Terrace to promote Town of Claremont’s new event series, Terrace Nights.
On 19 January, 16 February and 16 March 2018, the Claremont community will be able to relish in Terrace Nights, the new event bringing a twilight food market flair to the northern end of Bayview Terrace.
Mayor Jock Barker said the three events would allow Bayview terrace businesses to contribute to a community event.
“The nights will provide the perfect backdrop for the community to come together and relax, eat and enjoy the atmosphere of Bayview Terrace,” Mayor Barker said.
“With the closure of the terrace, local restaurants, cafes and bars will be able to extend their service areas into the terrace creating a food market vibe to the event.”
The northern end of Bayview terrace will be closed from 5pm with the events commencing at 6pm. Event attendees will also have the chance to win three nights’ accommodation for a family of four at Broome’s Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa including daily breakfast and return transfers.
The prize, kindly donated by Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa will be drawn at the end of the event series. Event sponsor Mirvac will also be giving away a prize of 50,000 velocity points to a lucky event attendee.
