Children and families will be able to enjoy Council’s water play parks in Seville and Lillydale Lake until March, with water fountains and jets switched on for the start of the school holidays.
Water fountains and jets are now on at the two water play parks, and will remain active during the day during spring and summer.
Yarra Ranges Mayor, Len Cox, encouraged families to make the most of the warmer weather and head out to the water play parks.
“Our water play parks are some of the most well-used spaces in the municipality over the warmer months, from both our residents and visitors to the area,” Cr Cox said.
“We've switching on the fountains so families can have a play during the September school holidays, and right through until March next year.
Council’s Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2017-21 identified a goal of ensuring people in the Yarra Ranges are physically active, which can improve mental wellbeing, general health and social connections.
