Mayor of Ballarat Cr Samantha McIntosh has welcomed an announcement today that would see fully enclosed off-leash dog parks built in both Alfredton and Buninyong under an elected State Opposition.

 “I have acknowledged this announcement today and we thank the State Opposition for their commitment to these important projects,” Mayor McIntosh said.

“Of course, we continue conversations with all sides of politics on our key priority projects for Ballarat and how these will be addressed in the lead up to the state election.

“We are starting to see the pay off from all the hard work Council has been putting into its advocacy and we’re really looking forward to Ballarat benefiting greatly from this.

“We will continue to push for funding for stage two of Link Rd, the restoration of Her Majesty’s Theatre, and an all-waste interchange, just to name a few. This is important work that we take pride in and we will not rest until we have the very best outcomes for our city.”
